Modelling has almost been neglected in the last few weeks. In addition, it is high time that I build an airplane model again. A few days ago I started building my second Tailsitter; a Valom kit of the Lockheed XFV-1.
In the 1950s, the US NAVY commissioned two projects for a vertical take-off interceptor. The Convair XFY-1 Pogo and the Lockheed XFV-1 Salmon.
The Lockheed XFV-1 is named after its test pilot, Herman (Fish) Salmon.
